Thelma K. (Killinger) Burtner, 93, passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at Brookdale Senior Living, Harrisburg.
Born December 12, 1926 in Goldsboro, she was the daughter of the late George and Sylvia (Bishop) Killinger, and was retired from Bell Telephone as a secretary.
She was the widow of Robert R. Burtner, Jr., who passed away in 1982 after 25 years of marriage. In addition to her parents and husband, Thelma was preceded in death by her son, Steven Burtner, Sr.
She was a member of the VFW Gold Circle and the Trindle Bowling League. While she preferred to keep to herself, Thelma did enjoy meeting friends for coffee. She also liked doing cross stitch but mostly, she cherished spending time with her beloved family.
Surviving are her grandchildren: Steven Burtner, Jr, New Cumberland and Adrienne Burtner Strausser, Harrisburg; her great grandson: Ryder Strausser; and her daughter-in-law: Brenda Dixon Burtner, Harrisburg.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Thelma will be buried at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery beside her husband.
