Fern A. (Feeser) Carberry

August 26, 1929 — July 22, 2022

Susquehanna Township

Fern A. (Feeser) Carberry, 92, a resident of Ecumenical Community in Susquehanna Township, passed away peacefully early Friday, July 22, 2022 at Osteopathic Hospital.

Born August 26, 1929 in Harrisburg, she was the daughter of the late Gideon and Esther (Earley) Feeser and was a graduate of John Harris High School.

She was the widow of Robert E. Carberry, Sr., who passed away in 1993 after 43 years of marriage.

In addition to her parents and husband, Fern was preceded in death by her daughter:  Deb Morrissey; and her siblings:  Martha Basehore, June Cassell, Pearl Witmer, Margaret Schoenfeld, and Lloyd Feeser.

Fern and her husband led a quiet life.  She enjoyed all of the gatherings and time with the large immediate and extended Feeser and Carberry families.  She liked watching Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune, golf and tennis on tv; reading the newspaper, and doing the crossword puzzles.  Although a homebody, she did enjoy the cruises they went on, family weddings, their yearly family trips to Rehoboth Beach and vacations to historic locations such as Williamsburg VA and New England.  She was a great cook, known for her homemade apple pie, lemon meringue pie, chocolate pie and beef vegetable soup with homemade rivels.  Fern always looked forward to family reunions and caring for her own family was her greatest joy.

Surviving are her sons:  Robert E. Carberry, Jr. (and his wife, Nancy), Lewisberry and Richard D. Carberry (and his wife, Jane), Middletown; her brother:  Earl Feeser, Dauphin; 4 grandchildren:  Sean Carberry (and his wife, Jena), Erin Morrissey, Aubrey Carberry, and John Carberry; 2 great grandchildren:  Abigale and Eli; and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family.  Burial beside her husband will be in East Harrisburg Cemetery.

Contributions in her memory may be made to the Ecumenical Communities, 3525 Canby Street, Harrisburg, 17109.

Kimmel Funeral Home, Harrisburg, is handling arrangements.
