Cora L. Lawson-Miller, 83 of Steelton, PA, transitioned into eternal life on Sunday, October 11, 2020 at 2:00 pm. She passed away peacefully at her daughter's home in Lawrenceville, Georgia.

Born December 4, 1936, she was raised in Steelton by her grandmother Cora Louise Lawson, grandfather James Clayton Lawson and mother Virgie Russell. For her education she attended the all black students' Hygienic School in Steelton School District.

Cora was a former nurse at the Holy Spirit Hospital and had retired from the Dauphin County Assistance Office with 26 years service.

Fulfillment of her life was Jesus Christ. Cora was a faithful Christian and worshiped at the New Hope Living Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and sang in the choir. She was also a spiritual mother to others.

She was preceded in death by her sister:  Jenny Johnstone and her brother:  William Lawson.

She is survived by her sister:  Sonya Wise; her brothers:  Stanley Lawson, James Lawson and Gary Lawson; her daughter: April Miller; her sons: Timothy Manning, Terry Lawson, and James Manning Jr.; her God daughter Marie Franklin; and a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Her life will be celebrated at the convenience of the Family.
