Obituary

Antonio Junior Lora, “Tony”, 49, of Harrisburg and formerly of Manhattan, passed away Monday, July 18, 2022 at Harrisburg Hospital.

Born April 4, 1973 in New York, he was the son of Mercedes Adames, Harrisburg and the late Antonio Lora.

Tony was born and raised in Brooklyn, only moving to Harrisburg recently.  While in Manhattan, he was well known as the Deli guy at the groceries who made great sandwiches.

An eternal optimist, Tony was always the one you could count on to raise your spirits, despite whatever he was dealing with himself.  He was good hearted and a jokester; and turned any gathering with family and friends into a party.  Cooking for his family, dancing, and listening to Dominican music gave him great joy, and time spent with his nieces and nephews were cherished.  In addition, he loved watching television shows from the 90s, especially The Golden Girls.

Surviving is his mother, Mercedes Adames; his sister:  Jisselle Contrares (and her husband, Johnny); his brother:  Edwin Lora, New York; Tony’s girlfriend, Angie and his son:  Wesley; nieces and nephews:  Michael Lora, Edwin Lora, Sasha Alicea and Luis Genao; other nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends, all of whom will miss him greatly.

There will be no services scheduled.

Kimmel Funeral Home, Harrisburg, is handling arrangements.
