Wayne John Ordille, born on February 3, 1944, in Hammonton, New Jersey, passed away on January 31, 2026, at Country Meadows in Hershey, Pennsylvania, following complications from heart issues. His departure leaves a profound void in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Wayne's professional journey was one marked by dedication and expertise. After earning an associate degree in Chemical Engineering from Spring Garden Institute in Philadelphia, he embarked on a successful career that began at Bell Labs, followed by RCA in New Jersey. His path ultimately led him to Mountaintop, Pennsylvania, where he continued his work at RCA/Harris Semiconductor. Over the course of an impressive 35 years, Wayne served as a Design Engineer, contributing significantly to his field.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Wayne was a man who cherished the relationships he built throughout his lifetime. He loved spending time with family and friends, particularly relishing the meaningful connections he forged in his final year at Country Meadows.
Wayne had varied interests that enriched his life. He enjoyed fishing, gold panning, and metal detecting, taking delight in the thrill of the hunt and the tranquility of nature. Additionally, he dedicated time to volunteering at the Vero Beach Indian River Citrus Museum, showing his willingness to give back to the community.
Wayne is survived by his son, John Ordille, and daughter-in-law, Cindy Needham, as well as their two children, Thomas Ordille and Lucas Ordille. He is also survived by his son, Thomas Ordille, and daughter-in-law, Sarah Ordille, along with their children, Dr. Kyle Ordille D.C. and Nicole Ordille. He was preceded in death by his beloved spouse, Concetta Ordille.
Wayne John Ordille leaves behind a legacy of love, dedication, and joy that will resonate within his family and friends for years to come. His memory will forever inspire those who were fortunate enough to have known him.
A celebration of life will be held at Trinity United Methodist Church, 210 W Main St, Hummelstown, PA 17036 on February 28, 2026 at 4:30 PM. A private celebration of life will be held at Country Meadows, Hershey, PA for residents and staff.
