Than V. Nguyen

Than V. Nguyen, 95, of Harrisburg, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 24, 2016 at Osteopathic Hospital.

Born September 25, 1920 in Vietnam, he was the son of the late Dau V. Nguyen and Le Vo, and was also preceded in death by his wife, Ngoc Phan.

Than enjoyed reading and loved watching soccer, but his greatest joy in life came from spending time with his children, grandchildren and great granddaughters, all of whom will miss him greatly.

He is survived by 4 sons:  Binh V. Nguyen, Hung T. Nguyen, Hau T. Nguyen, and Hieu V.  Nguyen, all of Harrisburg; 3 daughters:  Nghia T. Nguyen, Mechanicsburg and Hang T. Nguyen and Tham T. Nguyen, both of Seattle; 11 grandchildren:  Lien Nguyen, Diem Nguyen, Vu Nguyen, Dinh Nguyen, Christopher Nguyen, Jeffrey Nguyen, James Nguyen, Tri Nguyen, Ryan Nguyen, Thomas Nguyen and Derek Nguyen and 2 great granddaughters:  Sage and Harper Nolan.


There will be a viewing Wednesday, June 29, 2016 from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm at Kimmel Funeral Home, 2001 Market Street, Harrisburg.  Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

Contributions in his memory may be made to Hospice of Central Pennsylvania, 1320 Linglestown Road, Harrisburg, 17110.
