Ruth Ann Heisey, 90, passed away peacefully on February 23, 2026, surrounded by her loving family at Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center.
Born on June 19, 1935, Ruth Ann lived a life rooted in faith, family, and devotion to those she loved. She was the heart of her family—a steady, caring presence whose warmth and strength guided generations.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Paul Heisey, who passed away in August 1996; her parents, William and Marguerite Newhouse; her brothers, William, Wilson, and Ed Newhouse; and her sister, Beulah Brown.
Ruth Ann is survived by her children: Brenda Heisey; Diana Maurer (Jeff); Tim Heisey (Linda); Curt Heisey (Candy); and Sandy Auer (Dale). She is also survived by her siblings: Bob Newhouse (Marian); Linda Shenfeld (Donald); Karen Newhouse (friend, Barb Mauser); and Paul Newhouse (Gail). She leaves behind 11 grandchildren (Jason, Justin, Heather, Crystal, Julie, Samantha, Caleb, Ashlee, Cole, Casey & Nathan) and 11 great-grandchildren (Dalton, Preston, Erika, Gavin, Courtney, Lilly, Aubrey, Dylan, Abigail, Madelyn & Boston), each of whom brought her immense pride and joy.
A faithful member of Palmyra Church of the Brethren, Ruth Ann lived her faith through quiet acts of kindness, generosity, and steadfast love. Her church community was an important part of her life, and she found strength and fellowship in her congregation.
Ruth Ann especially cherished time spent with her large and growing family. She enjoyed watching ice hockey and soccer and was a devoted fan of the Game Show Network, always ready to test her knowledge from the comfort of her living room. Simple pleasures and shared moments brought her the greatest happiness.
Services will be held on Wednesday, March 4, at Palmyra Church of the Brethren, 45 N. Chestnut Street, Palmyra, PA 17078. A viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 11:30 a.m. Burial will take place at 1:30 p.m. at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
Ruth Ann’s legacy of love, faith, and dedication to family will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Due to flowers being limited at the cemetery, please consider making donations in Ruth's memory to her church.
