Ronald E. “Dutch” Durborow, 92, formerly of Berryhill Street in Harrisburg, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at Carlisle Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Born January 5, 1934, in Harrisburg, he was the son of the late Charles A. Durborow, Jr. and Lillian (Garver) Durborow and was a proud graduate of John Harris High School.

After graduation, Dutch began his career at Thompson Products, but his journey soon led him to serve in the United States Army starting in 1953. He served honorably, earning his Paratrooper Wings, and completed his service in 1956. He later retired from TRW, leaving behind a legacy of dedication and hard work.

Dutch was a member of the American Legion Post #730, Penbrook; enjoyed watching college basketball, college and pro football, and other sports. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and being outdoors. Additionally, he cherished moments spent with neighbors during cookouts, creating lasting memories that reflected his warm spirit.

Surviving are his children: Daniel E. Durborow and Denise M. Wicker (and her husband, Michael); his brother: RobertE. Durborow; 2 grandchildren: Aaron and Jordyn; and one great granddaughter: Brianna.

In honor of his life and service, graveside services and military honors will be held 11:30 am Friday, January 30, 2026, at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.

Kimmel Funeral Home, Harrisburg, is handling arrangements.
