Myrl R. Coons

Myrl R. Coons, of Halifax, passed away in his home with his wife by his side.

He was preceded in death by his father, Clair Coons; his mother, Miriam Coons; and his sister, Joyce Bevan.

Myrl is survived by his wife, Deborah Coons, with whom he shared 35 years of marriage. He is also survived by his brother, Mark Coons, and Mark’s wife, Maria Coons, of Palmyra; his brother-in-law, Robert Bevan, of Myerstown; and many nieces and nephews.

Myrl attended Middletown High School and spent the latter part of his career with Triple Crown Corporation, where he worked as a Residential Service Manager and Fleet Manager. He was a dedicated and reliable employee who took pride in his work.

Outside of work, Myrl preferred a quiet, simple life. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and watching car mechanic shows. He also enjoyed the companionship of his beloved dogs, BJ and Gizmo, before they passed over the rainbow bridge.

Myrl found the most peace in life having daily routines and in the companionship of his wife and pets. At his request, there will be no memorial services.
