Margie (Mundis) Baddorf passed away at the age of 86 on Saturday, October 1st , 2022, at the Church of God Home in Carlisle, with family by her side.
Margie was born and raised in Enola, PA, and attended Enola High School, where she met her beloved husband of 68 years, George Baddorf, Sr. She worked for many years within the East Pennsboro School District as a cafeteria worker, and she also worked alongside her husband in the family businesses at Baddorf’s Grocery and Baddorf’s Meat Market. Margie concluded her professional career at Giant Foods in the deli department.
Margie loved attending her children’s events, including baseball games, swim meets, and band competitions, among many others. Margie had a passion for travel, specifically enjoying day trips and weekends with her husband at their beach home in Rehoboth Bay, in addition to many memorable trips to Florida. Margie and George also shared countless summer afternoons with friends and family on their pontoon boat. Margie was an avid reader, loved country and gospel music, was a dedicated Phillies fan, and a lover of all things red—her favorite color. More recently, Margie loved enjoying delicious meals at the Front Street Diner, where she and George were treated like family.
Margie is preceded in death by her parents, Dwight and Esther (Sourbeer) Mundis.
Margie is survived by her loving husband, George Baddorf, Sr.; two children, Debra Reynolds and George Baddorf, Jr. (and his wife, Lynn); two grandchildren, Jamie Baddorf (and her husband, Andrew Taverna) and Meghan Baddorf; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, including Alonzo Jones, who loved Margie dearly. Margie is also survived by four grand-dogs: Gunther, Missy Rose, Levi, and Finn.
Margie’s smile, laughter, and quick wit will be greatly missed! Most importantly, Margie knew the Lord and is now in His Loving Embrace.
