Linda S. (Newhouse) Shenfeld, 76, Lower Swatara Township, passed away peacefully with her loving family at her side on Thursday, November 5, 2026, at Hershey Medical Center.

Born July 8, 1950, in Hershey, she was the daughter of the late William J. and Marguerite R. (Kemerer) Newhouse and was also preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Michelle “Shelly”; and her siblings: Ruth Ann Heisey, Beulah Brown, Wilson Newhouse, Edward Newhouse and William Newhouse.

Linda was raised in Stoverdale, where she attended the church and school. It was in school that she first met her future husband, Donald, whom she married in July 1969. A hard worker, she was employed for years by Hesteco Dress and Sportswear Manufacturing Company before working for Reese’s for over 22 years until her retirement. She was a social member of the Highspire VFW and LOVED watching Tik Tok videos and buying suggested products. Linda loved working around her yard and house, making it a home where everyone was welcome.

Mostly, Linda (or “Lin”) cherished time spent with her family, especially every moment with her precious great grandson, Beckham. She was amazing and supportive of her children and raised them with a great work ethic and integrity. Throughout the years, as she battled health challenges, Linda showed everyone what a determined fighter she was, with spirit and humor facing every obstacle.

Surviving is her loving husband, Donald E. Shenfeld, Sr. (or “Shenny”, as she called him), her two children: Donald E. Shenfeld, Jr. (and his wife, Paula) and Melissa A. Fessenden (and her husband, Rick); her siblings: Bob Newhouse, Karen Newhouse (and Barb Mauser) and Paul Newhouse (and his wife, Gail); her grandson: Dustin M. Shenfeld; her great grandson: Beckham, and many nieces and nephews, including JoAnn Schaffner, BJ Schaffner, Patti Obenstine and Buzz Obenstine, who are a great help to their uncle Don.

A celebration of her life will be held from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm Saturday, January 16, 2027, at the Highspire VFW, 498 High St, Highspire, PA 17034 for family and friends to reminisce about Linda and share stories.
