Jean L. Roberts

Jean L. Roberts, 88, of Harrisburg, passed away December 14, 2020 at Spring Creek Nursing Center.

Born October 31, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Evelyn (Buffington) Roberts and was a graduate of John Harris High School.

She retired from the Department of Agriculture after 29 years of employment.

Jean joined Calvary Presbyterian Church in 1945 and remained a member until it merged in 1976 with Paxton Presbyterian Church, where she is still a member. Jean had a beautiful soprano voice and was always a church choir member and soloist. Through the years, she was a soloist at Calvary Presbyterian Church, Market Square Presbyterian Church, Fifth Street Methodist Church, and Paxton Presbyterian Church. She was a Founding Member of the Harrisburg Chamber Singers, and sang with the Alumni Chorale of Lebanon Valley College.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Nancy L. Stone.

A memorial service will be held at a future date at Paxton Presbyterian Church.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Memorial Fund at Paxton Presbyterian Church, 3500 Sharon Street, Harrisburg, 17111.
