Harvey E. Enterline, Jr.

Harvey E. "Abe" Enterline, Jr., 85, Lower Paxton Township and formerly of Oberlin, passed away Sunday, March 9, 2014 at Harrisburg Hospital.

Born August 12, 1928 in Highspire, he was the son of the late Harvey E. Enterline Sr., and Ella M. Coble Enterline, and was also preceded in death by his 12 year old daughter, Harvanna "Peanie" E. Enterline, his second Mother, Mildred Enterline; his brothers, Carl "Lunk" and Melvin "Pete" Enterline; and his sister, Idona Douglass.

An Army veteran of the Korean War, he retired from Bethlehem Steel after 30 years and retired from Hempt Brothers after 15 years.  Blessed with an incredible work ethic, he was rarely idle, working at landscaping jobs when the Steel Plant shut down temporarily.  Even after working well in to his 70's, he continued to help at his families' homes whenever he could.

He joins in Heaven the love of his life, his wife Martha "Martie" J. (Demmy) Enterline, who passed away in 2005 just before they would have celebrated their 54th anniversary.

Surviving are his daughter:  Mickie A. (and her husband, Donald) Crone, Oberlin; 2 granddaughters:  Jesalene E. Crone Lebash, Harrisburg and Sheena M. Crone, Oberlin; his great grandson:  Kaden J. Lebash, Harrisburg; one sister:  Doris Hultzapple, Harrisburg; and many, many nieces and nephews.  He was a friend to all who knew him, and will be missed greatly.

Services will be held 11:00 am Friday, March 14, 2014 at Kimmel Funeral Home, 2001 Market Street, Harrisburg, where there will be a viewing Thursday evening from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm.  Burial will be beside his beloved wife at Shoop's Cemetery.
