Foster R. Barner, age 62, of Lower Paxton Township, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Friday, March 13, 2026.

Born on February 29, 1964, in Lycoming County, Foster was the son of Rachel Hora and the late John Hora and was raised in the Episcopalian faith. In addition to his father, he preceded in death by his uncles Wayne Smith and Thomas Clipp, his maternal grandparents, and his cherished canine companions Sarge, Buddy, and Smokey.

Foster pursued a career as a Class A Truck Driver, Transporter, and Tow Truck Operator, and currently worked for Meyers RV. While he did not serve in the Armed Forces, he was a devoted supporter of veterans and proudly participated as a member of the VFW Color Guard.

An avid outdoorsman, Foster enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, camping, hiking, and target shooting. He had a passion for tractor pulls, hot rods, and driving fast. Foster found great joy in attending carnivals and engaging with people, but most of all, he cherished spending time with his wife and family, especially when grilling food for them.

He is lovingly survived by his mother, Rachel Hora; his devoted wife of over 33 years, Dawn F. Barner; his three sons, Foster Raymond Barner, Jr., Thomas Adam Barner, and Dylan Alexander James Barner; two brothers, Mark Barner and his wife Susan, and Kyle Neumeyer and his wife Marie; one sister, Donna Barner Wright and her husband Donald; along with nieces, nephews, and their families.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Kimmel Funeral Home in Harrisburg is respectfully handling the arrangements.
