Corey E. Johnson

Corey E. Johnson, age 36, of Lower Paxton Township, passed away on Sunday, August 16, 2026. Born on April 10, 1990, in Hanover, Corey graduated from South Western High School.

Corey was a dedicated Medical Technician at Viva Senior Living. Earlier in life, he found joy working at Horseshoe Farms in Hanover, where he cared for horses—a passion he also nurtured on his grandparents' farm.

His childhood in Hanover was marked by his baptism at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and playing football at school and baseball in a city league. Throughout his life, he loved riding his bike and skateboard, playing video games and watching movies.

As an adult, Corey treasured time spent fishing with his dad and working on his cars. He had a deep affection for animals, especially cats and dogs, and was a member of Planet Fitness in Harrisburg. Although quiet, Corey was known for his kindness and helpful nature, and he developed a profound faith in Jesus.

Surviving is his father: Jeffrey M Johnson (and his wife, René), with whom he resided; his mother: Lynne M. Stough (and her husband, Lenny Gobrecht), Hanover; his sister: Allison N. Fink (and her husband, Michael); 2 sons: Cayden E. Johnson and Cameron N. Johnson, Spring Grove; his niece: Oaklyn Fink; aunts and uncles: Jennifer Barnes (and her husband, Peter), Jamie Johnson, and Kimberly Riley (and her husband, Douglas), many cousins; and his faithful canine companion, Zoey.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Contributions in Corey's memory may be made to Castaway Critters, P.O Box 1421, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, 17105 (Castaway Critters) or Critter Cavalry Rescue, 608 Eastcastle Ct, Franklin, TN 37069 (Critter Cavalry Rescue).
