Beverly M. (Kline) Trimmer

July 27, 1938 — May 17, 2017

While in the presence of loving friendship, Beverly M. Trimmer, 78, passed away Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at her home in Lower Paxton Township.

Born July 27, 1938 in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Lottie (Hoffman) Kline and the late Edward Kline and was educated and graduated from Philadelphia area schools.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles R. “Bud” Trimmer and her brother, Edward K. Kline.

Beverly was a legal secretary for PECO for 35 years, both while living in Philadelphia and after moving to Millerstown. Following her retirement, she chose to continue working and was the secretary for the Scottish Rite Cathedral in Harrisburg. She and her husband, Bud, eventually left Millerstown and moved to Harrisburg.

A true “city girl”, Beverly loved fashion.  She enjoyed going out to restaurants and movies, and loved the music and era of the Rat Pack. Once, while on vacation in Las Vegas, her husband even arranged for her to meet Frank Sinatra.

Beverly has no immediate family surviving. Although she was an intensely private person, she made many close friendships with co-workers, all of whom will miss her dearly.

Her wishes were to have no formal service, but for her friends to “scatter her to the four winds of Heaven”.

Due to her health issues, she was unable to have cats in her final months, but her love of them endured, and donations in her memory should be sent to any local cat foundation.

Kimmel Funeral Home, Harrisburg, is handling arrangements.
