Arthur Chucon Smith III

Arthur Chucon Smith, III, 74, of Harrisburg, passed away Monday, December 25, 2023 at his home.

Born May 10, 1949 in Harrisburg, he was the son of the late Arthur C. Smith Jr. and Theresa Bradley Smith. He was a graduate of Bishop McDevitt High School and attended Virginia Tech on an athletic scholarship.

Following High School, Art served his country during the Vietnam Conflict as a member of the US Army, and received the Army Commendation Medal.

He was a respected carpenter in the Harrisburg area for over 40 years and was a great animal lover, especially of his own dogs and cats.

He is survived by his sister:  Mary Downey and her family, and his dog, Finn.

Graveside services with military honors will be held at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville  at 1:00 pm Friday, April 19, 2024.
