Nancy Hutchison

Agnes Nancy Hutchison, 101, fondly known as "Nancy", of Harrisburg, passed away on Sunday, September 13, 2026 while residing at Homeland Center, just 10 days shy of her 102nd birthday

Born September 23, 1924 in Glasgow, Scotland, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Sweeney and Euphemia Salisburg. She was also the last of her siblings, preceded in death by Charlie, Andrew, John (aka "Jack), Albert, James, Robert, Euphemia, and a baby girl. Additionally, her beloved son, the Rev. John Hutchison passed away in 2002.

The widow of Robert Herd Hutchison, who passed away in 1973, Nancy travelled extensively around Europe with her husband due to his job. After his death, she lived with her siblings in several states before settling in Harrisburg, where her son was pastor at Paxton Presbyterian Church. Becoming a member in 1989 at Paxton, she joined the Presbyterian Women Unity Circle and helped with church newsletter.

Surviving is her daughter-in-law: Janice Hutchison; her grandson: Ian Hutchison (and his wife, Allison); her granddaughter: Amanda Nelson (and her husband, Dustin); 3 great grandchildren: Gannon Nelson, Isla Hutchison, and Grace Hutchison; and many nieces, nephews, and their families.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 am, Wednesday, October 7, 2026 at Paxton Presbyterian Church where a gathering with continental breakfast will be held from 10:00 am until the service. Burial at the convenience of the family will take place at Somerset Hills Memorial Park, Basking Ridge, NJ.
