Adrian "Papi Tio" Rivera, Jr.

Adrian Rivera, Jr., “Papi Tio”, 55, passed away suddenly at his home in Washington, PA on Monday, July 29, 2019.

Born May 25, 1964 in Brooklyn, he was the son of the late Adrian Rivera Cruz and is survived by his mother, Migdalia Mercado Mora Rivera.  He is also preceded in death by his cousin, Rafael Lopez and his aunt, Nelly Lopez.

Always a New Yorker, he was an avid Yankees, Giants and Knicks fan, but mostly, he was a loving and beloved son, father, brother, uncle, grandfather and friend.

In addition to his mother, Migdalia Rivera, of Harrisburg, he is survived by his children: Maxine Rivera, Effort, PA, Adrian Rivera III (and wife, Christina), Bronx, NY, Jackie Rivera, Effort, PA, Daniel John Jesus Gonzalez, Newark, NJ, Adrian Rivera IV, Harrisburg, David Rivera, Harrisburg and Adrianna Rivera, Miami, FL; his sisters: Maria Adorno (and husband, Ruben), Harrisburg and Rosa Rivera, Brooklyn; 8 grandchildren; his nieces and nephews: Alberto Serrano, Crystal Serrano, Michael Rivera and Jessica Serrano, and their families; and many other family members and friends, all of whom will miss him greatly.

A memorial service is being scheduled and will be announced.
