Adrian A. Fleming

August 4, 1964 — December 7, 2022

In the presence of his loving family, Adrian A. Fleming, 58, of Upper Allen Township, fell asleep in death on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at UPMC West Shore.

He is now in the safest place that anyone could be; Jehovah God's loving memory awaiting the time of the resurrection to a paradise earth as John 5:25, 28, 29 says..."the hour is coming, and it is now, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those who have paid attention will live..."the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out..."

Born August 4, 1964 in Harrisburg, he was the loving son of Jean Esther Fleming of Mechanicsburg and formerly of Harrisburg.

Adrian was a Regular Full Time Pioneer and member of the Christian Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Mechanicsburg and had been a member of the Edgemont Congregation.

He was a former supervisor at Ross Distribution Center before dedicating his life to becoming a Full Time Pioneer.  He then worked part time as a bus driver for B&S Transportation, and ultimately retired as a Data Integration Specialist for Definitive Healthcare.

On July 12, 2014, he married the former Millisa Thomas and together they forged a loving family with their children:  Danielle A. Foley (and her husband, Scott), New Cumberland, Darrien R. Fleming, Harrisburg, Nykia J. Thomas, Wilmington, Delaware, J’von B.A. Thomas, Mechanicsburg, and Lael V. Thomas, Shippensburg.

In addition to his mother, Jean; his wife, Mellisa and children, Danielle, Darrien, Nykia, J’von, and Lael, he is survived by his grandson, Kaleb Joseph Foley (whom he affectionately called Boogaloo); his mother-in-law:  Nancy E. McCoy, Los Angeles; his father-in-law:  Millard C. Branch, Wilmington, Delaware; his brother-in-law:  Nelson E. Chambers, Mechanicsburg; nephews:  Calvin Chambers, Bend, Oregon and Carter Chambers, Mechanicsburg; other family members and his Mechanicsburg and various other Congregation families.

As a child Adrian was the light of his mother's life. Although imperfect, he was a beautiful son.   As a father, he instilled values and common sense to his children and tried hard to teach them about Jehovah.

On his first date with Mellisa, he met her at Silver Spring Diner, with a foolproof plan to say he had to   leave for work, if the date didn’t go well.  He was almost late for work that day, and going to the Silver Spring Diner became their tradition.  They enjoyed spending time outdoors, enjoying all that nature had to share.  Adrian liked listening to music, especially Jazz, and watching movies of all genres.

He was an amazing husband and a loving, patient, kind, and compassionate father, son, and friend who would do anything for someone in need.

Mostly, Adrian loved serving Jehovah with his wife, Mellisa, and sharing his faith with others.
